![]() ![]() In my personal case I had two inbound rules for Stardew. With that being said, scroll down until you see the Stardew Valley application and look at the rules. The players inbound rules and outbound rules should be the same for both the host and players. Once opened scroll down until you can find Stardew Valley and take a look in the properties and other tabs on that screen. The host needs to get into there inbound rules, its located in the top left corner. So the host of the server should be telling the person trying to play what to do. On the left there should be something for advanced settings, this is where things get difficult. Once that has been competed make sure you apply the settings and go back to you desktop both the host and players go back on the search bar and type in firewall again this time click Windows defender firewall. ![]() Once opened click change settings on that screen and scroll down to Stardew Valley and make sure that both public and private are clicked along with the entire program. About half way down on the screen there should be something that says allow an app through firewall and click that. So the host and players can do this by opening the search bar typing in firewall in the bar and Firewall & network protection should appear click that program. Firstly, the person who is hosting the game needs to take a look at their firewall rules and the person playing the game needs to actual create firewall rules and input them in the system. This fix was tested on windows to windows only and both of us are playing this game with the Xbox game pass on PC.įix the issue is a little difficult to explain typing but I'll try to do my best. The issue we found was the firewall not recognizing or adding firewall rules to the actual game. The fix that me and one buddy tried seems to work and he hasn't been booted out of the game since. So, after quite a while screwing around with the game and looking at other fixes that people have tried I think I might have found a solution. I'm running Windows 10 with fully updated 1.5, I couldn't find any more troubleshooting online so if anyone knows a solution I will love you forever, thank you We've tried inviting from the game, and inviting from steam, most of the time the invite friend to play option wouldn't show up and the one time it did, when 'accept invite' was pressed nothing happened, the game didn't change at all. Moved Stardew Valley to a different hard drive Completely turned off Windows Defender and Firewalls Made sure the game was started in co-op mode in the same way that we normally start it We've tried the following troubleshooting: No option to input invite code or to refresh The problem is that I seem to be blocked from the internet accessing Stardew Valley but all firewalls are turned off so I have no idea, the get invite code button is missing as well as the 'join with invite code and refresh buttons in the main menu We've played together a lot (in 2nd year) without a problem before and have played both on the same network and on different networks. Hello, I've been trying to play Stardew with my SO for the last little bit and no matter what I try we can't get on the same farm.
